Remember the kids’ table? Sure you do. It was the place to which you were banished during every holiday meal while you watched all the real fun go down at the grown-up table (conveniently situated just outside of food-launching distance). But the kids’ table shouldn’t feel like punishment. It should be a delight, an escape where kids can indulge in the imagination that us grown-ups wish we could bottle up and devour. With a little thought, a dash of creativity, and cornucopia of whimsy, the littles at your Thanksgiving feast will be occupied all dinner long. Do it right, and you’re in for an evening of more wine, less whining.
